Top Grossing Comedians

Jerry Seinfeld

Earnings: $60 million

The bulk of Seinfeld’s multimillion-dollar income still comes from his highly successful show about nothing, which ended 10 years ago. Residuals from the show’s juicy syndication deal has kept Seinfeld at the top, though he’s done much of nothing since.

David Letterman

Earnings: $40 million

Letterman no longer carries the lion’s share of late night viewers, but his business savvy has garnered him a stake in his own show.

Ben Stiller

Earnings: $38 million

The frat packer proved his prowess at the box office when his big-budget flick ‘Night at the Museum’ pulled down $572 million worldwide.

Jay Leno

Earnings: $32 million

Two years shy of relinquishing his ‘Tonight Show’ duties to Conan O’Brien, Leno is still ruling the roost in late-night ratings.

Larry The Cable Guy

Earnings: $20 million

There’s nothing funny about being the highest-earning stand-up comic in the United States. Larry the Cable Guy grossed $21.5 million in ticket sales last year.
